'Fast and Furious 8' news: rapper Ludacris lets slip that filming on eighth installment gets underway 2016

Vin Diesel is a man of very few words but during the Teen Choice Awards, the actor of the "Fast & Furious" franchise spilled the beans on the upcoming new movie title.
While the latest installment of the franchise is simply called "Furious 7," it looks like the franchise will continue their movie title trend, calling it only "Fast 8."
According to IB times, Diesel isn't the only one who slipped, Ludacris, who has been reprising his role as Tej Parker, talked about the upcoming production of the film.
Talking to Access Hollywood, Ludacris mentioned, "'Furious 8' is happening, we start shooting next year and it comes out April of 2017."
While the promos suggest a May release, there is new confirmation of the said date being April 14, 2017, as Comicbook.com reports.
The film was also won during the Teen Choice Awards for "Choice Action/Adventure" for "Furious 7." Diesel took the stage in behalf of the cast to thank the fans and. He even offered their award to the late Paul Walker. Diesel said:
"I can't stand here and be rewarded like this without talking about somebody very, very, very important to us. One of the best blessings in our lives is the fact that we had the opportunity to call Pablo our brother. Paul Walker is here in spirit with us."
Walker tragically lost his life during a charity event for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan, in the middle of filming of "Furious 7."
The remaining cast members continued to film "Furious 7" with the help of Walker's brothers who served as stand-ins to complete the remaining shots.
Foodworldnews has also listed down in a report the actors who will be coming back to reprise their roles. Aside from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jason Statham, Eva Mendes will also be coming back to reprise her role in upcoming installment.
