A lot of originally Japan-only games are making their way to the western audience, much to the delight of the worldwide audience. In such trend, Marvelous' "Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star" is set to delight more gamers tomorrow, Jan. 17.

The Marvelous Inc. title, which is set to be published by XSEED Games in North America, is a wonderful action game that combines great fighting styles with concepts from historical and mythical figures. What's even more interesting is the depth and intricacies of the storyline, which is something that is commonly forgotten in action games.

On a PlayStation blog post, XSEED Games' Ryan Graff, who is responsible for the title's localization, confirms that the plot is well thought of, so much that it is painstaking to make an accurate English render.

"It's been a challenge sometimes," Graff explains. "The series' main Japanese author, Kinoko Nasu, likes to pack his prose with wordplay, literary references, and a kind of free-form poetry. Keeping true to that style, while also making the English text both clear and in character, hasn't always been easy."

It's not just the story that is complicated, but it trickles down to the characters as well. One particular fighter, named Artoria, is tricky to unlock that the team decided to create a walkthrough on how to find her. If anything, this just shows the game is rich with challenges and tricks up its sleeve.

Meanwhile, there are surprises for PS4 and PS Vita owners who wish to get the game. The pre-order bundle for PS4 gives an exclusive theme and the "Shackled Bride" outfit for Nero, while the Early Bird bundle for the PS Vita gives its equivalent theme and Gilgamesh's "Cold-Blooded Warden" outfit.

The game was first released in Japan on Nov. 10, 2016 exclusively on the PS4 and PS Vita platforms. Now that it will be releasing outside Japan, more players can soon experience the battlefield action game and see what makes the title a great addition to one's gaming roster.
