'Fire Emblem Heroes' trailer reveals new batch of heroes, heroines

Nintendo recently released a new trailer for the "Fire Emblem Heroes," the next installment from "Fire Emblem," a popular franchise of role-playing games (RPGs). The promotional video teases the new characters that will bring a new dimension to the title.

"Fire Emblem" is known for its heart-warming and gut-wrenching narratives. This is why the last game that it released, the "Fire Emblem Fates," had such stellar reviews for the 3DS.It seems the "Fire Emblem Heroes" developers want to surpass this record.

The latest trailer of "Fire Emblem Heroes" showcases the newest heroes and villains of the hit RPG.

The Heroes include Ryoma, dubbed as a "Peerless Samurai." The character, voiced by Matt Mercer, sports a red and white armor by Kila Seori. The samurai has powerful sword attacks.

Tharja is the "Dark Shadow" who dons a black seductive garb courtesy of ZIS. Voiced by Stephanie Sheh, she can cast powerful spells.

The "Polite Knight" is Frederick, voiced by Kyle Arbert and drawn by Suekane Kumiko. He is wearing a blue knight's armor and has a horse in battle.

The cute Nino is the "Pious Mage." The purple-clad mage who has cute reactions while in battle is the product of imagination of Amagaitaro and is voiced by Sarah Blandy.

The "Lady of the Lake" is Azura, who is voiced by Rena Strober. Illustrated by kaya8, the character is a blue-haired lady in white clothing. She seems to have healing spells.

The "Light Mage" is Linde, who appears to be a dancer of sorts wearing a pink dress and a user of magic. She is voiced by Julie Ann Taylor and designed by Kippu.

The "Perfect Shot" is Jeorge, portrayed by voice actor Mick Wingert and drawn by Mayo. He sports an intricate set of red clothing and wields a bow and arrow.

Elise is the "Budding Flower," a cute, blonde girl in a black and pink dress. The deadly mace user is voiced by Liv Strander and illustrated by HAKO. She is a cute, blonde girl wearing a black and pink dress.

Finally, Lilina is the "Delightful Noble." She is voiced by Julie Kliewer and drawn by BUNBUN. She dons a brown dress and has healing magic.

The overall tone and story of the game is still unknown. "Fire Emblem Heroes" is set for a Feb. 2, 2017 release for iOS and Android devices.
