Since April 27, indie video game designer, Scott Cawthon, has been posting images on his website hinting at another sequel to his successful survival horror video game, "Five Nights at Freddy's". The images feature the game's animatronic animal characters with a date stamp of "10.31.15." The upcoming game, dubbed as "Five Nights at Freddy's: The Final Chapter," marks the fourth installment in Cawthon's series and is expected to become available to gamers on Halloween this year.

"Five Nights at Freddy's" is set in a fictional pizza restaurant, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where the player must act as a night security guard and survive the shift lasting from midnight to 6:00 a.m., without being attacked by one of the five animatronic animal robots roaming the facility. The game has five levels comprising of five nights in the game. Completion of the five levels unlocks an even more difficult sixth night, and completion of the sixth night unlocks a "Custom Night" level where the player can adjust the difficulty of the individual characters.

In a recent article, Ecumenical News had described Cawthon's teaser arts as nightmare versions of Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy, the game's animatronic villains, which have left fans speculating that the upcoming sequel would be scarier than the last three. As the game's release date moves closer, fans expect the next posted art to be that of "Nightmare Golden Freddy," a secret, golden version of Freddy Fazbear who appears in the security office after a certain sequence of events are triggered.

The article also revealed that Warner Bros. Pictures has acquired the rights to adapt the series into a film. Fans are speculating that the film could explore the backstory of the game, which is stated in a newspaper clipping seen on the wall of the security office. The news story states: "Five children are now linked to the incident at Freddy Faxbear's Pizza, where a man dressed as a cartoon mascot lured them into the back room. While the suspect has been charged, the bodies themselves were never found."
