'Frozen 2' plot rumors: Sequel can have a surprising twist about Elsa and Anna's identities

Rumors about "Frozen 2's" plot are getting crazier by the minute. According to the latest buzz, the Queen of Arendelle will soon find her love interest but it turns out that it could be her sister Anna.

While it may sound surprising, a report from Showbiz Maven mentioned that it's possible Anna might actually be adopted, making Elsa not her real sister. If this twist pans out, it's been speculated that Elsa could take interest in Anna.

It's not the first time that a homosexual theme was associated with "Frozen 2" as there have been petitions from the LGBT community to make the sequel as diverse as possible. It remains to be seen though what Disney really plans for the animated flick, but if the production team ventures into this direction, it is expected that the movie will be subject to controversy.

So far, Disney hasn't confirmed anything yet about the story of "Frozen 2" but it is assumed that the movie is already in production. Kristen Bell, who voices Anna, revealed back in March that recording should start soon, as reported by Ecumenical News. Without revealing much, Bell only said that the sequel will "exude quality."

Other rumors previously tied to the movie suggested that there will be a "Frozen/Tarzan" crossover since many believe that the Arendelle sisters' parents didn't really die in a shipwreck. Some believe the parents were actually stranded on a remote island where the girls' mother gave birth to a boy believed to be Tarzan. That would make him the girls' brother.

Then again, plot rumors are just rumors and Disney has yet to make an official announcement about the movie.

Meanwhile, Idina Menzel, who voices Elsa, recently made a joke about her character that should be something most kids would fear if it were true. In an interview with E!Online, Menzel was asked about the progress of the film. She said, "We are at story writing and they're working on it and I think I'm in it."

"That's all I know—unless maybe Elsa falls off an ice cliff and she dies in the first five minutes," she adds.
