While the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus might be a bigger device than the iPhone 6s, it is clear that many will be comparing the two before deciding which to buy. Here is how the curved edge Galaxy S6 Edge compares to the latest smartphone from Apple.

Design

The S6 Edge with its curved screen flowing over its right and left edge is the better looking device. Importantly, one of the edges can be customized to display notifications, five important contacts, five apps and a night clock. As for the build of the device it consists of a metal frame and Gorilla Glass 4 on its front and back and so it is not as sturdy as its competitor which has a full metal body. Finally it has a fingerprint scanner incorporated into its home button and comes in black, silver, white and gold. The metal used on the iPhone 6s is 7000 series aluminum and it prevents the phone from bending. Its edges are rounded which gives it a good feel in hand, and its fingerprint scanner is also present in the home button. As for colors, the iPhone 6s comes in gold, silver, space gray and rose gold.

Display

The iPhone 6s might have a standard display with bezels but it has 3D Touch technology integrated into it which can gauge the amount of pressure being applied on the screen. Otherwise its IPS LCD display measures 4.7 inches and it has a resolution of 750 x 1334 pixels and density of 326 pixels per inch while the S6 Edge has a much bigger super AMOLED display measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 518 pixels per inch.

When it comes to hardware, the S6 Edge has the latest Exynos 7420 chipset, coupled with an octa-core CPU comprised of four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and four clocked at 2.1 GHz along with a Mali-T760MP8 GPU. As for the iPhone 6s it has an Apple A9 chipset, coupled with a CPU with two cores clocked at 1.84 GHz along with a PowerVR GT7600 GPU.

Memory

With no memory slot on either device, there is no chance of external storage being added. When it comes to RAM however the S6 Edge is ahead with 4 GB while the iPhone 6s has 2 GB.

Here the S6 Edge is ahead as it has a 16 megapixel camera with OIS while the iPhone 6s has a 12 megapixel version.
