Samsung already has several Galaxy Tab 4 tablets in its lineup, but the company looks set to add a new version very soon. Importantly, the upcoming tablet, which has been dubbed Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced, was even spotted passing through a benchmark site.

The upcoming tablet was spotted on GFXBench by a website in Poland and the report was subsequently picked up and translated by a number of sites. According to the report, the Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced is going to be a 10.1-inch offering and will arrive with the model number SM-T536.

However, as soon as the news about the tablet was making its way to the Internet and analysts started picking apart its specs, it became apparent that it would be a midrange offering. Referring to the GFXBench listing, analysts state that the upcoming Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced appears not to have the best hardware that is present on the top-of-the-line tablets from Samsung. However, its operating system is going to be fairly up-to-date with the Android Marshmallow.

As for the display on the Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced, it has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and the chipset is an octa-core version clocked at 1.5 GHz, along with a Mali T830 GPU. Going by the listing, it is thought that the device will have 2 GB RAM and its internal storage will be about 32 GB.

Among the existing Galaxy Tab 4 lineup, there are three sizes for customers to choose from ranging from 7 inches to 8 inches, and finally 10.1 inches. So it is not surprising that Samsung is planning to add a Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced version to the lineup and give it better hardware.

Even as the rumors about the Galaxy Tab 4 Advanced continue to arrive, many are stating that the specs could still change as more information about the tablet is revealed in leaks. Also, many have indicated that listings on benchmark databases like GFXBench are often unreliable.
