Much has been said about the "Ghostbusters" all-female reboot but fans of the sci-fi franchise can expect more news to spill in the following months as the film enters the post-production phase.

"Ghostbusters 3" wrapped up filming earlier this week and is now in post-production. This might mean that sooner or later, director, Paul Fieg, will dish out a trailer that will give everyone a first official look at the brand-new ghost-fighting team composed of Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Kristen Wiig plus their new receptionist, Chris Hemsworth.

But aside from that surely great news for the 2016 movie, another one was dropped by The Hollywood Reporter: the film is confirmed to have cameo appearances from three of the original Ghostbusters. In a previous report, it was mentioned that Dan Aykroyd and Bill Murray said yes to making an appearance in the reboot. Now, it seems that Ernie Hudson is also rejoining the team.

Hudson initially said that an all-female Ghostbusters may not be a really good idea. Having heard of the cast, though, he later changed his mind and called the reboot and its cast "phenomenal."

The online publication reported that the 69-year-old actor was spotted during the movie's last day of filming. There is no word, however, if he is appearing as his previous character, Winston Zeddemore or a totally different character. Same goes for Aykroyd's and Murray's characters, Ray Stant and Peter Venkman. Sony has also refused to comment.

Aykroyd, Hudson, and Murray formed the original live-action adaptation of the Ghostbusters with the late Harold Ramis. They played the ghost-catching team in two movies, 1984's "Ghostbusters" and 1989's "Ghostbusters 2." Annie Potts also played the role of receptionist, Janine Melnitz, in both movies. The same goes for Peter Venkman's love interest, Dana Barrett, played by Sigourney Weaver.

The latest "Ghostbusters" film also stars Andy Garcia, Neil Casey, Michael K. Williams, and Matt Walsh.

"Ghostbusters 3" was originally slated for a July 22, 2016 release but have been moved to July 15. Stay tuned for additional updates.
