'Gilmore Girls' spoilers: Rory to have a sibling?

Rory (Alexis Bledel) may be welcoming her brand new sibling in the Netflix revival of "Gilmore Girls," as rumors claim that Lauren Graham's Lorelai is pregnant with Luke's (Scott Patterson) child.
Speculations that Lorelai is expecting her second child started when an intriguing photo was posted on the show's official Instagram account. As per TODAY, the image shows several Pop-Tarts arranged in a platter, with an apple resting at the middle. The caption read, "Pop-Tart appetizers to hold us over 'till the pizza comes. And one apple." Fans of the series know that Pop-Tarts are Lorelai and Rory's favorite food. What got them curious is the apple part. Some claim it is a huge clue that Lorelai is pregnant.
Recently, Patterson admitted that his character and Rory's mother are still together in the revival. He told PEOPLE that the couple is "figuring out" the next step.
Scott has always loved Lorelai, even when she was not so attracted to him. He endured it when she got engaged to Max (Scott Cohen) and had her love-hate bond with Rory's dad, Christopher (David Sutcliffe). Fans rejoiced when she eventually chose him, although it has not been exactly a smooth-sailing relationship. When the actor was asked about Lorelai's possible pregnancy, he refused to answer. For some, this meant a resounding yes.
Meanwhile, Patterson spoke about reprising his role after almost a decade. Luke is the cynical owner of the best diner in Stars Hollow. Both Lorelai and Rory adore his food and coffee. According to the actor, it took a while for him to get the Luke persona right. During the first rehearsal for the revival, he said he had to walk around the town to remember how he played Luke all those years ago.
"My first rehearsal, I just struggled – I was like, 'I don't feel this guy anymore.' My first rehearsal, I went to Amy and I said, 'I don't feel this, I got to walk around Stars Hollow. I gotta walk around the set and get the old feeling back.' So I did. I took about a 10-minute walk, I went through the town and I got it. I felt ready. And I came back in and rehearsed the scene and I thought, 'I've got him,'" he recounted, according to PEOPLE.
"Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" will air November 25 on Netflix.
