Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and their other friends will hold a question-and-answer portion with the fans in the January episode of "Girl Meets World."

According to iTech Post, the first episode to air next year is titled "World Meets Girl," a "one hour thank you note" to those who continue to support the show since its introduction in 2014. The episode is being tagged as an interactive one, where everyone is invited to ask something from the characters in the Disney series. After this, there are exactly two more episodes before season 3 ends. "Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen" will air on Jan. 13, while "Girl Meets Goodbye" will be shown on Jan. 20.

Recent spoilers claim that the season finale will feature returning "Boy Meets World" characters. The episode is said to be a reunion of sorts for Cory (Ben Savage) and his old gang.

However, rumors of the show's cancellation are still making their rounds and Disney is still keeping mum about any updates for season 4.

Previously, it has been revealed that even the cast members have no idea about the show's future. Blanchard has been active on Twitter recently, posting a message urging the fans to keep on supporting the series. The hashtags #girlmeetsworldseason4 and #SaveGMW have been seen trending in social media for weeks now.

Meanwhile, there have been reports that Carpenter will be exiting the show to focus on her singing career. The actress-singer is currently busy with the tour for her second album. In the event that she opts to quit the series, Riley stands to lose her best friend, Maya. They are currently the only two girls in their clique. It is possible that Farkle (Corey Fogelmanis) and Zay (Amir Mitchell-Townes) will take Maya's place, but the fans worry that it will not be the same as when the blonde was around.

"Girl Meets World" season 3 will return in Jan. 6, 2017 on Disney.
