'Girl Meets World' season 3 spoilers: Uncle Josh is more central figure; show getting three guest stars

The curtains have not closed yet on "Girl Meets World" season 2, since it is still airing on Disney, but details for its third season are already making rounds on the Internet.
On the "Girl Meets World" writers' Twitter handle, the show announced last week that the cast members for the third season already had their first table read.
A part of the tweet says, "Welcome back everybody. We're ready."
Recently, The Wrap reported that three actors will guest star on the third season of the said Disney original sitcom. Guest stars Luke Benward, Ashley Argota and Claudia Lee are speculated to portray upperclassmen who would turn out to be either friends or foes of the incoming freshmen Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), Lucas (Peyton Meyer) and Farkle (Corey Gogelmanis).
Benward has starred in recurring roles on other different Disney Channel originals like TV sitcom "Good Luck Charlie" and TV movie "Cloud 9." Argota starred in Nickelodion's "True Jackson VP," while Lee was known for a regular role on The CW's "Hart of Dixie."
The upcoming season, which is already in production, will be a huge transition for Riley and the rest of the characters, as they enter another chapter of their lives—high school.
There are rumors that suggest Uncle Josh's (Uriah Shelton) character will be explored more in season 3. He will also be a part of a love triangle with Maya and Lucas. In the first season, an episode showed Maya to have fallen head over heels with Josh, who happens to be Riley's teenage uncle, after he was introduced to her.
"Girl Meets World" season 2 is currently on a season break and will resume airing on Feb. 12 with the episode "Girl Meets Commonism." Meanwhile, the third season is set to premiere on Disney Channel this Spring.
