'Girl Meets World' updates: fans may meet Farkle's parents after return from 2-week break

"Girl Meets World" recently aired the 14th episode of its second season and the episode took on a very relevant and important issue that many schools experience today.
The episode, titled "Girl Meets Creativity," saw John Quincy Adams almost losing its arts and music program. The episode also put the focus on Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), who is known to be a good artist with many creative abilities. Riley (played by Rowan Blanchard), along with Maya and their friends, took a stand this episode and fought for their arts program.
The kids were able to make a difference by showcasing their talents during the board meeting. They were able to revoke the board's decision and prove that the arts program is an important facet of their education.
The show will take a two-week hiatus and return on Sept. 11 with its 15th episode titled "Girl Meets I Am Farkle."
According to CarterMatt, this episode will give a deeper look into who Farkle (played by Corey Fogelmanis) is, and what his thoughts and feelings are.
It has long been rumored that Farkle's mom will make an appearance during the season two finale, however, with the episode focusing on Farkle, there might be a chance for her to make her debut.
Creator, Michael Jacobs, has announced that Farkle's mom will be someone familiar, and had made appearances in the original "Boy Meets World." "She's the last person you would believe is married to Minkus. She will be radically different and evolved, and I believe you will love the reappearance of this character," Jacobs said.
Some initial leaks have named Farkle's mom to be Jennifer Bassett, portrayed by Kristanna Loken. Basset's character used to date Shawn Hunter and was a nemesis to both Cory and Shawn. She will reportedly not be a friend to Topanga, just for the reason that she is married to Cory.
According to Jacobs, Lee Norris, who plays Stuart Minkus, will also be back for at least three more episodes. He may possibly feature in the Farkle-centric episode.
The "Girl Meets I Am Farkle" episode will be followed by "Girl Meets Corey and Topanga," scheduled to air on Sept. 18. The episode will focus on Cory and Topanga's relationship. Many are anticipating the episode as it may feature many classic scenes and flashbacks from the original "Boy Meets World."
On Sept. 25, "Girl Meets Conflict Resolution" will be the show's Halloween episode. This episode will be one of "Girl Meets World's" holiday episodes, the second one being a Christmas episode.
The show airs on Fridays at 8:30 p.m. on the Disney channel.
