Google may have let go of Nexus 6, following rumors saying the alleged next-gen Nexus smartphone is dead. In May, tipster Evan Blass (@evleaks) tweeted that Nexus 6 is gone.

The update caused speculations that Google is focusing instead on its next generation Android Silver line, leaving Google followers baffled, dismayed and raising concerns over whether the Android Silver line might become more expensive than Nexus.

Likewise, there is a possibility that Google will prioritize a device with more potential, that packs the next Snapdragon 810 chips. The Mountain View, Cali.-based tech firm did not offer any comment regarding the Nexus 6, as it never confirmed plans for the device in the first place.

The concern among Google users about Android Silver's price makes sense, as it has been rumored to target the high-end market, with features tailor-made for the ultimate Google experience.

As newer processors becomes implemented, Google may increase their devices' price tags as well.

Evleaks also hinted in another tweet that Android Silver will be announced in February 2015.

Meanwhile, the rumored next Nexus tablet, Nexus 8, was teased by HTC on their Twitter account which seems to promote an unknown device. The tweet lines imply "more beautiful curves."

While Google owns its mobile devices, it outsources the manufacturing to other companies to produce them.

In the past, Google has already partnered with Asus, LG, Samsung and HTC. HTC is perhaps the most likely candidate for having won the Nexus 8 bid after its recent teasers. However, the industry can only speculate, as Google has yet to confirm anything.
