Within four months of the release of the GoPro Hero 4 Black and Silver cameras in September 2014, there is news about the next camera of the Hero series. The GoPro Hero 5 release date is not confirmed but the gadget is expected at the end of 2015.

GoPro fans are expecting that, with the GoPro Hero 5, the low frame rate issue of the Hero 4 will be solved, as it is rumored to sport an impressive frame rate of 60 frames per second. The GoPro Hero 5 might offer the same 4K resolution as that of the Hero 4 Black, or leap to an 8K video capture.

Rumors also say that the GoPro Hero 5 will have Bluetooth 4.0 for a faster response time. If all these rumors are true, GoPro is in for a major comeback with the next gadget of the Hero series. The Hero 5 needs a more powerful battery for the increased frame rate and a possibly increased resolution. The camera is expected to be thicker and slightly heavier because of the improved battery.

Owing to the better features, the GoPro Hero 5 price can be expected to be higher than that of the GoPro Hero Silver, which is priced at $399 and the GoPro Hero 4 Black, priced at $499. However, rival cameras releasing this year will be priced at around $400 and that could make the GoPro price its camera at a relatively lower mark, at something in between $400 and $500.

However, considering the high video recording quality that will be offered with the combination of 8K resolution and a 60 fps frame rate, the device will be the best on the market. Also, if the device features an underwater resistance of up to 60 meters, nothing can stop it from being the best video recorder in the market, even if it is priced in a higher range.

Critics claim that the Bluetooth 4.0 feature of the camera will help the sales because better connectivity is an important feature for buyers. Buyers are hoping that the GoPro Hero 5 will incorporate the best features of both its predecessors, instead of distributing the good features like touchscreen, good resolution and better frame rate into different versions.
