The upcoming episode 14 "Gotham" season 2 will show the young Bruce Wayne, played by David Mazouz, hunting down Matches Malone (Michael Bowen), the man who killed his parents.

The next episode of the hit series "Gotham" will focus more on Bruce Wayne and his journey toward becoming one of the world's greatest crime fighters. For the first time, it will also tackle Bruce's dilemma about killing his parents' killer or letting him go. 

Titled "The Ball of Mud and Meanness," next week's episode will show Bruce's conflicting emotions as he hunts down Malone with a burning desire to kill him and finally bring justice to his parents.

This new facet of Wayne's character will surely surprise fans of the TV series, as they have never seen him exhibiting such thoughts or emotions before. Batman has always been known for his strong adherence to his set principles and code of ethics, never killing his opponent no matter how detestable the latter may be.

No matter how strong his desire is to mete out justice in Gotham and put all the villains behind bars, it has never clouded his decision about taking another man's life.

He showed this strong self-control even when facing the Joker by restraining himself from killing him despite the severity of his crimes.

However, the question that's been left hanging is — will he exhibit that same self-control when he finally comes face to face with his parents' killers?

Mazouz also said that "Gotham" will slowly show how Wayne evolves to become the Dark Knight. He said in an interview on USA Today, "Every time I get a script, it's really propelling Bruce into becoming Batman. Every single episode he gets stronger, every single episode he becomes more who Batman is."

"Gotham" airs every Monday at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
