After the heart-wrenching court scenes and the judge's final decision regarding Callie and Arizona's custody battle, "Grey's Anatomy" fans are no doubt wondering how Grey Sloan will move on from such a polarizing event.

The previous episode of "Grey's Anatomy" was heartbreaking in many ways, not the least because of the timing. The episode, which revolved around Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Callie's (Sara Ramirez) battle over sole custody of their daughter, underlined the struggle that a lot of mothers have experienced and aired ironically so close to Mother's Day. It also saw some of their colleagues taking sides and testifying for either of the two women before it was revealed that Arizona was granted custody of Sophie.

Episode 23 will reportedly show the aftermath of that decision as both Callie and Arizona struggle to come to terms with their new custody arrangement. But it's not all gloom and doom as Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Amelia (Caterina Scorsone) will reportedly take their relationship to the next level and things become clearer regarding Alex (Justin Chambers) and Jo's (Camilla Luddington) future together.

The trailer for the upcoming episode, "At Last," certainly teases all those things. The short trailer starts with Callie apologizing to Arizona, but she tells her ex-wife that she "ruined everything." Callie leaves looking glum. The clip also reveals that there will be "one shocking hook-up," while giving fans glimpses of Nathan (Martin Henderson), Maggie (Kelly McCreary), Alex, and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). A hook-up between Nathan and Maggie or Alex and Meredith will certainly be shocking, the latter more so.

The trailer also hints at two shocking proposals. As Jackson (Jesse Williams) was shown, could it be that he's thinking of proposing to April (Sarah Drew) again? There's also the possibility that Penny (Samantha Sloyan) and Callie might make this humongous leap before moving to New York. Jackson and April giving marriage another go seems highly unlikely though, despite the two being on better terms now. As for Callie and Penny, the way the former reacted when the latter attempted to comfort her in the previous episode shows it's probably too soon for them to make things permanent.

A lot of fans are probably betting that Jo is finally accepting Alex's proposal. However, it's also possible that the shocking proposal might come from Kyle (Wilmer Valderrama). The singer, who has been readmitted again for meningitis, banned his ex, Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton), from his room in the last episode, but a sneak peek shows that the two have apparently worked out their differences.

ABC will air episode 23 of "Grey's Anatomy" season 12 at 8 p.m. on May 12.
