'Grimm' season 6 spoilers, latest news: Upcoming season to be show's last

(Facebook/NBCGrimm)"Grimm" season 6 will be the show's last, according to NBC.

Everything is not well over at the Portland Police Department. It has been announced that the upcoming sixth season of "Grimm" would be the show's last.

Many fans became worried when it was revealed that "Grimm" season 6 would only consist of 13 episodes — a far cry from the 22-episode seasons that came before it. In retrospect, the order for a smaller season was the red flag that warned everyone of what was about to happen. Fans are undoubtedly heartbroken at the revelation that NBC made recently. However, that is not to say that the sixth season will not be just as interesting as the previous ones.

It was previously reported that Renard (Sasha Roiz) will be taking a turn for the worse in the upcoming season. It is believed that he will be a sizable opponent for the heroes, but there are still some who cling on to the hope that Renard will have a change of heart. He is, after all, a complex character and a notable fan-favorite.

On the other hand, a new face will be greeting fans once season 6 premieres. Chris McKenna has been tapped to play Lt. Grossante, appearing in at least one episode on the show's final season.

Apart from Renard, there is some speculation that Adalind (Claire Coffee) will also become evil in season 6. This will reportedly be the result of Nick trying to save her from Renard using the magic stick. Although his intentions are true and valiant, Nick may end up indirectly unleashing Adalind's Hexenbiest. However, this has yet to be confirmed, so fans should take this news with a grain of salt.

The only way to know for sure is to tune in to "Grimm" season 6 when it premieres on Oct. 28, 2016 on NBC. However, there is some bad news for fans who consistently watch the show on Amazon Prime Video. According to Fansided, historical data points to a year-long wait until the season becomes available on the streaming service. Given this pattern, it could land on Amazon Prime Video in October 2017.
