'Homeland' season 6 spoilers: Dana Brody might return; Claire to go back to the CIA

The co-creator of "Homeland," Alex Gansa, has expressed his desire to see Dana Brody, played by actress Morgan Saylor, back in the show.
It seems that Gansa was impressed with Saylor and wants her back to reprise her role. They are still working on how to re-introduce Dana back into the show and into the story. One of the possibilities they have been exploring for her comeback is to have her return as a CIA officer.
Dana was part of the first three seasons of "Homeland" where she was portrayed as a teenager having difficulties with her relationship with her mother. She also kept her father's closely guarded secret after accidentally discovered that he had converted to Islam. She made it her responsibility that her family should not know about the fact for fear that it would further put a strain in their lives.
Meanwhile, fans will see more of Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) and Dar Adal (F. Murray Abraham) in the next season with Carrie making the decision to return to the CIA. In the previous season, she served as German billionaire Otto During's (Sebastian Koch) private security chief after leaving the CIA. She also experienced heartbreak in that same season since her relationship with Jonas Hollander, a human rights lawyer played by Alexander Fehling, did not work out.
Adal, on the other hand, will continue to be Peter Quinn's (Rupert Friend) mentor in the show. Adal is portrayed as a stoic CIA operative but Quinn's ordeal at the poison gas chamber has unnerved him so much. Season 6 will continue to explore Adal's character, according to Gansa.
Unlike the previous season which was set in Berlin, the next season will be primarily set in New York City. Gary Levine, president of programming, told Variety that they are "in awe" of how Gansa and his team of writers manage to make every season of "Homeland" unique.
Although the new setting has been confirmed, there are no details yet on what the plot is for the next season of the show.
