HTC Desire EYE release date, specs and price: Launching 'Hot Deals' at AT&T this holiday season

Just in time for the holidays, HTC unveils its newest selfie-friendly smartphone, HTC Desire EYE, that will be exclusively offered by US carrier AT&T.
"Optimized for taking selfies, HTC Desire EYE is AT&T's first smartphone with a 13 MP front-facing camera and a dual LED flash," said Jeff Bradley, Senior Vice President of Device Marketing and Developer Services, AT&T.
"Both HTC Desire EYE and RE have many great features that allow you to capture your moments – all on the nation's most reliable 4G LTE network,6 covering more than 300 million Americans," Bradley added.
HTC Desire EYE is dubbed as the quintessential smartphone for the selfie generation. The front-facing camera is also equipped with 88-degree wide-angle lens that can capture a wider background and is optimized for group shots, featuring a full power LED flash.
Apart from front and back sharp shooting abilities, the handset also sports 5.2-inch HD display, 2.3 GHz Quad-core processor, 16 GB internal storage and the immersive BoomSound technology.
HTC Desire EYE will be available in Coral Reef (white) color starting Nov. 7.
AT&T offers the handset to consumers via different options. First, there is a $0 down payment with $22.92 monthly fee for 24 months via Next Plan 18, or $27.50 monthly fee for 24 months via Next Plan 12. The smartphone can also be purchased for $149.99 under a two-year deal, or no commitment for $549.99.
Aside from this exclusive AT&T handset offering, HTC is also helping out consumers with their shopping this holiday season with various discounts in selected items that will be featured via HTC Hot Deals every Tuesday 9 a.m. PT/ 12 p.m. ET.
The HTC Hot Deals promo will run for nine weeks, and the first deal introduced was a brand new Nexus 9 for only $199.
