The ZenFone 2 has a metallic polish but its body is actually made of hard plastic, which is evident once it is picked up, however it is because of its cheap build which allows the device to be priced affordably. As for colors, this device offers five choices such as white, black, gold, gray and red. In addition, it has two models, one which comes with 2 GB of RAM and another which comes with 4 GB of RAM. As for the One M9 , it follows in the footsteps of its flagship sibling and has a polished, metal unibody. Furthermore, it has a finger print scanner integrated into the button below the display.

Display

The display on the ZenFone 2 is a bigger as the device is a phablet and its IPS screen, measures 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 403 pixels per inch. On the One M9 is a sharper super LCD3 screen measuring 5.2 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 565 pixels per inch.

Specs

There is little similarity between the devices when it comes to hardware but each is extremely powerful. The One M9 comes with a Mediatek MT6795T chipset, coupled with an octa-core CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz and a PowerVR G6200 GPU while the ZenFone 2 with 4 GB RAM has a Intel Atom Z3580 chipset, a quad-core CPU clocked at 2.3 GHz and a PowerVR G6430 GPU.

Memory

There is a memory slot that can be used to add up to 64 GB of external storage on the ZenFone 2 while the version on its competitor can be used to add 128 GB. When it comes to RAM however, the ZenFone 2 is ahead with 4 GB compared to the 3 GB on the One M9 .

Price

In terms of price, the unlocked ZenFone 2 is super cheap and only costs $300. On the other hand, the unlocked HTC One M9 is sold for $650 by various retail websites.
