Chinese telecommunications company Huawei just recently opened its upcoming affordable Honor 8 smartphones for pre-orders. It is reportedly designed for the millennials and boasts an impressive dual-sensor camera.

On the Honor website, Huawei revealed that the new Honor 8, the successor of a newly released affordable Honor 5X phone, will be available for purchase on Aug. 26. According to reports, online retailers, such as Best Buy and Amazon, have listed the upcoming smartphone for $400.

At a recent Huawei event, president of Honor George Zhao revealed that the company aims to create devices that would fit the needs of the millenials. "We also consider culture and fashion trends," Zhao said, CNN reported.

According to reports, the Honor 8 will boast a "multilayer optical filming," which is supposed to subtly catch and reflect light. If the said glass covering gets damaged for the first three months, buyers of the 12-month option are given a special warranty. The impressive part of the newest budget phone is its 12-megapixel dual-sensor camera. One of the sensors captures the color and the other one captures the monochrome detail. This setup is just like Huawei's premium model P9. Meanwhile, the Honor 8's front camera has 8 megapixels.

Speaking of camera, it also has built-in modes like the Wide Aperture, which enables users to adjust the focal point and depth of field of a photo. You can also capture the images without using the shutter button. Users will have to put thei finger on the fingerprint reader or just by saying "cheese."

Under the hood, the Honor 8 runs on Huawei's own Kirin 950 processor — a Snapdragon 820 equivalent — with a matching 3 GB of RAM for 32 GB of internal storage and 4 GB of RAM for 64 GB of internal storage. It has a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a USB Type-C port for charging, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
