(Huawei)Huawei P9 Max is expected to refresh the Huawei P8

Most of the news about Huawei has focused on its new Kirin 950 chipset which according to leaked benchmark test results is much faster than the current leader in Android devices the Exynos 7420. However, with the Kirin 950 unveiled rumors about the upcoming devices that will feature it have surfaced and the latest one mentioned is the Huawei P9 Max.

It is widely expected that the Huawei P9 Max will replace the Huawei P8 which was released earlier this year and SlashGear states that it was seen recently passing through AnTuTu benchmark. Additionally the device got a score of 73,759 points on the benchmark site and scored 16,822 when it came to the 3D graphics test. However, the score is not something remarkable considering that the device is rumored to be running the Kirin 950 chipset.

Elsewhere other leaked AnTuTu test results featuring the Huawei Mate 8 which many expect to release on November 26th, have indicated that the device has scored 83,000 or an even higher score of 89,630. However, these are just rumors and provide conflicting information about the Huawei Mate 8 and none have been addressed by HTC.

As for the Huawei P9 Max it is expected to be a bigger device than the Huawei Mate 8 and come with display measuring 6.2 inches, a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and a density of 486 pixels per inch. Coming to hardware if as expected the Kirin 950 chipset is onboard it will be coupled with an octa-core CPU comprised of four Cortex-A72 cores that are clocked at 2.3GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores that are clocked at 1.8GHz along with a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. Also the Kirin 950 SoC has an i5 motion coprocessor included which will always remain active in order to help the sensors onboard smartphones to check any movement.

Coming to RAM, it is expected that the Huawei P9 Max will have 4 GB onboard. Finally as for its launch date there is no clear indication when the phablet will arrive.
