'Injustice 2' release date in March 2017? more characters to be announced soon

(Facebook/Injustice)It is speculated that more playable characters will be introduced in "Injustice 2."

Although it is not confirmed yet, rumors claiming that "Injustice 2" will arrive in the market in March next year have become more persistent. With the game expected to usher in more playable characters and introduce engaging changes, it is fully understandable why more and more gamers are awaiting its arrival.

As of this writing, "Injustice 2" has already an exciting lineup of playable DC characters in the upcoming game sequel, including Superman, Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Harley Quinn, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Atrocitus, Gorilla Grodd, and Deadshot. However, it is expected that NetherRealm and Warner Bros. will soon make an announcement of other DC superheroes and villains that will be ushered into the game.

Apart from having more playable characters, it has also been learned that "Injustice 2", allegedly, will offer more dynamic changes in the game. According to sources, the arenas that will be featured in the game will be more reactive to the fights between the characters, allowing the fight to move from one venue to another, such as Atrocitus transporting his opponent to another world.

"Injustice 2" will also feature more loot drops that will enable the characters to evolve into more powerful versions of themselves the more they are played. This means that a player has the power to increase the power of the hero he plays by upgrading his armor as the game progresses.

"So, you have Batman, and you can make him a little bit better if you find the special gauntlets that increase his damage, a little bit more effective. You can find a utility belt that makes his interaction with the backgrounds more effective. So you are constantly doing the drop system like loot drops. You are doing that constant search and pursuit for your ultimate version, your custom version of Batman, Superman, Aquaman and stuff like that," explained Ed Boon, director of the game, about the loot system when he was interviewed by Dual Pixels in last July's San Diego Comic-Con.

Meanwhile, given the popularity of the first "Injustice" game, it is also speculated that the game will also be released on PC after it arrives on Xbox One and PS4 next year. However, with no official word from NetherRealms and Warner Bros. at this point in time, such a speculation will remain, well, a speculation.
