Is Apple already preparing for the launch of iPad Pro 2? A rumor that has recently surfaced claims that the anticipated tablet will be released anytime this month or anytime in April.

iPad Pro 2 has long been rumored to come out this year, although the Cupertino tech giant has not announced anything about the matter. Still, enthusiasts are keeping their hopes high with the possibility that three variants will be launched in a couple of weeks.

It has already been reported that Apple may hold an event on April 4 at the Steve Jobs theater to unveil the three variants of iPad Pro 2: the 9.7-inch version, the 10.5-inch version, and the 12.9-inch version. Also, the shipping of the 12.9-inch variant will reportedly begin in the United States soon.

This rumor, however, may not be true. According to Apple World Today, the company's new headquarters won't open until next month while the Steve Jobs theater is scheduled to be opened later this year. The publication wrote that Apple may organize a separate event to launch the tablets, and that event could be a keynote affair held at its 1 Infinite Loop campus or in other venues in San Francisco, California.

There is also news that Apple will release multiple variants for the product line. Analytics firm Fiksu spotted the alleged four new models of iPad Pro 2 in their logs, and the said units seem to be undergoing some tests already. This sparked the speculations that four new models will arrive in the market, although details about the fourth model are still unknown.

The only information that the firm has are the identifiers of the alleged iPad Pro 2 variants, which are: iPad 7,4; iPad 7,3; iPad 7,2; and iPad 7,1.

The 10.5-inch model is also especially anticipated for its alleged slimmer bezels. In an interview with Forbes, IHS Markit Director for Tablets and PC, Rhoda Alexander, said: "You end up with a unit that's the same physical size as the 9.7 inch. This will make it possible for customers to also use accessories such as the Smart Keyboard with the 10.5-inch tablet."
