iPhone 6 vs iPhone 6 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4: Apple lags in performance but not in popularity

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Among all the high-end phablets that shared the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus release date, the Samsung Galaxy series seems to be doing better. However, despite numerous comparisons between the price difference and features, Apple fans will continue rooting for the iPhone. If you haven't bought your first iPhone yet, find out from the latest update whether you really want it or not.

The iPhone 6 released just a few days after the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 but that did not affect the sale of the Note 4. The iPhone 6 display is a full 1 inch smaller than that of the Galaxy Note 4 to begin with. This also makes the phone almost 50 grams lighter at 129 grams. For those who find a 4.7 inches display decent enough, the iPhone 6 is a better option. The iPhone 6 Plus with a 5.5 inches screen was launched for those who wanted a bigger iPhone 6.

The iPhone 6 has a built-in storage of 128 GB while the Note 4 has just a 32 GB internal story - but it can be expanded to match the iPhone 6 with a 128 GB micro SD card. The most shocking factor of the iPhone 6 is the meagre 1 GB RAM as compared to the 3 MB RAM of the Note 4.

Another important point of comparison is the camera. The iPhone 6 camera is an 8 MP one with 3264x2448 pixels. The secondary camera is just 1.2 MP. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a 16 MP high quality camera with 5312x2998 pixels and the secondary camera too is a 3.7 MP one with 1440p. Even the iPhone 6 Plus doesn't make any improvement in the camera.

The iPhone 6 battery life is about 14 hours with an 1810mAh Li-Po powered battery that isn't removable. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 boasts a 3220mAh Li-Ion battery with 20 hours battery life. The iPhone 6 Plus does a little better than the iPhone 6 in this respect with a 2915mAh Li-Po non-removable battery has a 24 hours battery life. It is good enough for over 3 hours of gaming and two full days of regular use at 50% screen brightness.

Even the Samsung Galaxy S5 which was released in February 2014 does a better job with the camera, battery life, display and performance at a $500 price range than the iPhone 6. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus price ranges from $960 to $1000 but it cannot compete with the Galaxy Note 4, which comes at a slightly lower price bracket.

However, this does not mean that Apple is losing the fan following. The iPhone 6 Plus has captured a good fraction of the high-end market but, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is still the favorite.
