Several rumors point toward Apple creating a rose gold version of the iPhone 6s and these speculations seem to have been confirmed recently, when casemaker, Spigen, showcased rose gold cases on its website. This is the first solid hint that the upcoming device will indeed come with a new color.

The existence of the new cases from Spigen was picked up by several websites including 9to5Mac, which pointed out that the case manufacturer was trying to promote interest in its offerings by touting the arrival of the rose gold iPhone 6s. Spigen went ahead to showcase the device on its website and even labeled the photo as "a new color has bloomed."

For months, there have been indications that Apple is planning to create a rose gold version of the iPhone 6s. The claimes were even backed up by analysts who predicted that there will be a device to match the Apple Watch Edition, which has a version that is crafted from solid rose gold.

The image of the rose gold colored iPhone 6s, however, seems to be well planned by the case manufacturer and it appears that Spigen is hoping to build up demand for different types of cases and beat its competitors in the market.

In addition to the images from Spigen teasing the rose gold iPhone 6s, there has been a number of fake photos of the device circulating. There was even an incident in August, which saw images of pink iPhones, dubbed the "rose gold" versions, making their rounds online. However, they were immediately labeled as fakes, since they had been in circulation since March of this year.

The rose gold versions revealed by Spigen have a muted color, which closely resembles the color of the Apple Watch. As for the customers who prefer gold-covered devices, fortunately, several companies have started offering the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus cases in yellow gold, rose gold and platinum.
