When the Kardashian brood visited Thailand for vacation, they were most definitely not expecting for Kim to reach an epiphany and express her desire to adopt an orphan girl.

However, that's what happened and the contemplation down to the rejection were all caught on tape.

In this episode, the Kardashian family visited a small Thai orphanage to make humble donations of personal and medical amenities.

During the trip, Pink, a small Thai girl, unknowingly caught Kim Kardashian's eye… and heart.

Kardashian, in one of her most serious scenes yet, goes as far as informing Kanye, father to her daughter North, that she was interested in adopting Pink.

Apparently, Pink had triggered a special connection with Kim Kardashian when the little girl handed her a bracelet as a parting gift.

"They have nothing and she gave me her bracelet. I have this draw to this particular girl. I literally want to take her home with me," she says after the encounter.

'That's a little aggressive'

Kris Jenner, however, found the idea "aggressive" and did not support her daughter's intent to adopt the child.

"That's a little aggressive. I think that you can't just go to an orphanage and fall in love with a child and then take them home like you're shopping," she tells her.

Although Kim finds "adoption amazing," her mother has other plans in mind, telling her she could do something else to change Pink's life.

"You get very passionate about things and then you don't think the whole thing through. I bet there are other things you could do that would make all the difference in this little girl's life that you could do without bringing her home," the Kardashian momager added.

Kris' insight finally convinced Kim to forego the idea of adopting Pink and to look into donating resources for the orphanage instead. The first resource: a swimming pool for the orphanage.

"I'll always remember her," Kim uttered as she left the orphanage.
