'Law & Order: SVU' season 18 episode 4 spoilers: An athlete's double life could lose her case

(Facebook/lawandordersvu)“Law & Order: SVU” season 18 airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.

A sexual assault victim's other side could make her lose her case in the upcoming episode 4, titled "Heightened Emotions," of the 18th season of the American legal and crime procedural drama "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."

An athlete ends up being a victim of sexual assault. However, she has a secret double life that could ruin both the case against her attacker and her future as a potential Olympian. Rollins (Kelli Giddish), on the other hand, gets in touch with her sister Kim (guest star Lindsay Pulsipher), who just got out of prison on parole.

The promo trailer for "Heightened Emotions" shows the secret of the victim. She could be a part of the prostitution industry as her other side job while pursuing her dream. However, the sexual assault case may not be against her favor if this goes out in public and it could cost her more than what she could lose.

"Carisi is going to stay a police officer because he says, 'I took an oath to serve and protect.' I think he really believes that. It would seem unfinished for him to leave, that he hasn't done everything he wanted to do in this part of his life yet, so I think he's going to continue that," actor Peter Scanavino told Entertainment Online about the fate of his character Carisi.

The actor said that things even get serious for Carisi after the passing of Dodds, whom he considered as family. Carisi is known to value the family highly and, since he considers the entire squad as his family, he would do anything to strengthen and protect it. He is also someone who abandons the people who have been a part of his life.

"Law & Order: SVU" season 18 episode 4 airs on Oct. 12, Wednesday, at 9 p.m. on NBC.
