In a post on The Legend of Korra Online, by Keval, there is a hint of a possible release of Legend of Korra Season 3 in June – Book 3 in copyright listings. The title could be extracted from the official copyright database, listing the episode titles for Legend of Korra Book 1 and Book 2. The listing is already showing the first two episodes of Book 3, which may mean Season 3 is already around the corner.

Looking further, the pilot episodes of Legend of Korra Books 1 and 2, "Welcome to Republic City" and "Rebel Spirit", respectively, were both listed in the database four months before they were aired. Welcome to Republic City was listed December 15, 2011 and shown in April 2012. Rebel Spirit was listed on May 2, 2013 and aired in September the same year.

If the pattern is still to be trusted, and with episode 1 of Book 3 already listed, the Season 3 might be aired in September this year. Episode 1 is listed January 31, 2014 and four months after that is June 2014, the month many Legend of Korra fans expect to be Book 3's premiere month.

The heavy work, which is the actual animation, has already been completed for Book 3, making the month of June not a bad one for a premiere. The next challenge is the marketing side, as Nickelodeon has a couple of things to do, like acknowledging to the public that Book 3 already exists.

In last year's Book 2, the channel used Comic Con to reveal it. However, Comic Con this year is set for July, which is a month after the rumored Book 3 release date.

Nickelodeon needs to start on marketing activities if Book 3 has to be shown in June. First, it would have to market the third book, and start releaseing commercials and clips.
