'Legends of Tomorrow' spoilers, news: Leonard Snart is dead but he will be back

A superhero dying in either the MCU or DC universe is not something new. However, it still has the same surprising and sad impact to viewers. The newest to join the body count is Leonard Snart aka Captain Cold, played by Wentworth Miller. But although he died, it won't be the last that fans will see of him.
In the previous episode. Snart gave himself up as a sacrifice in order to stop Vandal Savage. The team tried to destroy the Oculus which the Time Council revealed had helped Vandal rise to power as well as had controlled the team. Unfortunately, Snart died in the explosion while holding the fail safe.
According to "Legends of Tomorrow" co-creator and executive producer Greg Berlanti in an interview on Deadline, they had already decided from the start that Snart would not be "a permanent member of the Waverider." But the good news is, Snart will be back not only in "Legends of Tomorrow" but also in the other CW shows, including "The Flash" and "Arrow." He also might appear in "Supergirl" soon.
In the same interview, Berlanti also says that since "Legends of Tomorrow" has a time travel element, there is a lot of flexibility and dying is not permanent. "One of joys and advantages is that it allows us to change in success who is on The Waverider and not."
He adds, "Flash and Arrow are very much about building one team, while there is an anthology element to Legends."
He also revealed that the show is casting for male and female actors to become two new team members, as well as possibly for a new villain for the next season. He said that fans should always expect new adventures from the show.
"Legends of Tomorrow" airs every Thursday at 8 p.m. EST on the CW.
