LG V10 vs iPhone 6 Plus: Apple offers a much faster phablet

With the release of the LG V10, there is yet another competitor for the iPhone range, which was just recently refreshed. However, the iPhone 6 Plus is still a big threat and here is how these two devices compare in a face off.
Design
LG has designed the V10 with several unique features but it decided to not include a curve on it, which is however present on its flagship offering-- the LG G4. Instead, the LG V10 has a steel frame and more of the same metal on its sides while its back is made from silicone with a textured pattern. There is also a fingerprint scanner on its rear and it comes in black, white, beige, ocean blue, and opal blue. As for the iPhone 6 Plus, it has a metal body made from aluminum and its edges are rounded. It too has a fingerprint scanner and as for colors there are three options gray, gold and silver. Finally, the LG V10 has a unique second screen that lies above the main screen and it always remains on displaying shortcuts to apps, contacts and a scheduler.
Display
The display on the iPhone 6 Plus consists of a 5.5 inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and density of 401 pixels per inch, as for the LG V10 it has an IPS LCD screen measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 515 pixels per inch.
Specs
When it comes to hardware, the iPhone 6 Plus is better off. It has an Apple A8 chipset with two cores clocked at 1.4 GHz along with a PowerVR GX6450 GPU. As for the LG G10, it has a Qualcomm MSM892 Snapdragon 808 chipset, coupled with an hexa-core CPU and an Adreno 418 GPU.
Camera
The rear camera on the LG V10 is a 16 megapixel version with OIS, and it has dual 5 megapixel cameras in front. As for the iPhone 6 Plus, it has 8 megapixel camera with OIS at its rear and its front has 1.2 megapixel version.
Price
The iPhone 6 Plus costs $199 with a two year contract, while the LG V10 costs around $650 without a contract.
