LG V10 vs Nexus 6P: Nexus 6P price tag is lower but it still has a better build

The unveiling of the V10 by LG has shown that the company wants to be seen as one of the top challengers to Samsung, Apple and even Google. Additionally, the device has a number of nice features which help it take on metal bodied devices like the Nexus 6P.

Design

The LG V10 has a steel frame and the same metal is also present on the sides of the device, but its back panel is made of textured silicone. However, there is an additional screen on the device which lies above the main screen and it displays important contacts, apps, a music player, scheduler and can be seen when the main screen is not active. There is a fingerprint scanner on the device and it comes in two shades of blue, white, black, and beige. As for the Nexus 6P, it has a premium aluminum body and it is miles ahead in terms of looks even if it has a glass strip protecting the camera at the back. It also has a fingerprint scanner on its rear and comes in three colors.

Display

The display on the Nexus 6P is a 5.7 inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 518 pixels per inch.  As for the LG V10, its main screen measures 5.7 with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 515 pixels per inch. As for the smaller screen on the LG V10, it has a resolutions of x 1040 pixels and measures 2.1 inches.

Specs

There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chipset on the LG V10 with a hexa-core CPU, along with an Adreno 418 GPU. As for the Nexus 6P, it has the faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset coupled with an octa-core CPU and an Adreno 430 GPU.

Memory

With no memory slot present on the Nexus 6P, external storage cannot be added. On the other hand, the microSD slot on the LG V10 can support up to 2TB. As for RAM, the LG V10 has 4 GB and it competitor has 3 GB.

Price

The Nexus 6P costs $500 unlocked, while the LG V10 could cost $600 unlocked.
