With new smartwatches frequently being released, it is clear that the Android Wear market is going to become extremely crowded. Here is how the latest LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition, which is cellular enabled, compares to the Huawei Watch.

Design

The Huawei Watch has a round body and looks like a traditional watch, and this gives it a good advantage among its rivals and it is often described as the prettiest smartwatch available. Its body is made from stainless steel and comes in three colors black, rose gold and steel and its straps are made from leather or stainless steel, with links or mesh and have 18mm lungs. As for its waterproof and dust proof qualities, it has an IP67 certification and therefore can remain under 1 foot of water for 30 minutes.

The Watch Urbane 2nd Edition has a round body, too, made from stainless steel, and it is expected that when the device releases, it will be available in black, white, blue and brown. As for the straps, they have several hardware components built-in, so they cannot be swapped out with others in the market. So customers will have to choose from the elastomer straps they offer that come in a number of colors to match the body of the device. Also, the device will come with a slot for a nano SIM so users will be able to make and receive calls without having their paired smartphone around. Finally, it has a similar IP67 rating as its competitor.

These two devices run Android Wear, so they can be paired with both Android and iOS devices.

Display

Comparing their displays the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition has a 1.38 inch P-OLED version with a resolution of 480 x 480 pixels and a density of 348 pixels per inch, while the Huawei Watch has a 1.4 inch AMOLED version with a resolution of 400 x 400 pixels and a density of 286 pixels per inch.

The Huawei Watch and Watch Urbane 2nd Edition have a similar Snapdragon 400 processor and the CPU has four cores clocked at 1.2 GHz. Coming to RAM, the device from LG has 768MB and its competitor has 512MB however each has similar 4 GB onboard board storage.

Sensors

There is a gyroscope, accelerometer, barometer, compass, heart rate sensor and GPS on the Watch Urbane 2nd Edition, while the Huawei Watch has a 6-axis motion sensor that has a accelerometer and gyroscope along with a heart rate sensor, vibration motor and barometer.
