LG's Nexus 5X official specs and release date: LG and Google's Nexus phone release with Android 6.0 Marshmallow

The first of the two Nexuses phone from Google, the LG Nexus 5X, is now available for purchase both in the United Kingdom and the United States. Furthermore, reports have also surfaced confirming that the handset is going to run on the latest Android operating system, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

According to Tech Radar, after months of waiting and basing on the rumors and speculations, Google and LG has finally made their handset, the Nexus 5X, available for the eager fans in the UK and the US. In addition to those countries, the source has also stated that retailers based in Ireland, India, South Korea and Japan were also spotted carrying the latest smartphone and have started selling it.

In terms of the official specification for the Nexus 5X, as listed on GSM Arena's specs rundown, not only does it come with the latest Android OS Marshmallow, the phone will also sport in a 5.2-inch screen with a resolution of Full HD 1080p display and it will be protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 3.

Furthermore, the handset is also going to be powered by a previous model of Qualcomm processor, specifically the Quad-Core Snapdragon 808 and will be backed up by a 2GB of RAM as well as two variants of internal memory storage, the 16GB and 32GB.

As for the camera of the Nexus 5X, it is said to come with a 12.3MP for its main or rear camera and a secondary, 5MP for the front-facing snapper. The main lens, as listed on the specs rundown, is said to be equipped with a laser autofocus and a dual-LED flash.

The price tag for the handset is set to be at $379 for US and £339 for the UK. Of course, the price may vary and might depend on the mobile carrier for their plans.
