'Life in Pieces' cast news: Stars reveal what it is like on set of new CBS sitcom

CBS' new sitcom "Life in Pieces" debuted last Sept. 21 to strong ratings, possibly due in part to airing right after the blockbuster hit "The Big Bang Theory." While there was a slight dip in viewership for the next two episodes, the series holds strong with a little over eight million viewers tuning in.
The network has yet to announce whether or not their new offering would get a second season but with its solid following, "Life in Pieces" could be the fun weekly treat viewers have been on the lookout for. What is known for sure is that the cast and crew of the show seem to be having the time of their lives on set.
Just days ago, Colin Hanks, son of iconic actor Tom Hanks and one of the stars of "Life in Pieces," sat down with The Hollywood Reporter to discuss the projects he is currently involved in. During the interview, Hanks revealed that he is having the easiest time working with Zoe Lister-Jones, revealing how their chemistry is almost instantaneous.
"For whatever reason, Zoe and I hit it off instantaneously. I'm grateful because by the end of the first day of working with her, I was in between her legs with a frozen glove. So we got to know each other very quickly. That's just luck," he said.
Elsewhere, Thomas Sadoski, the actor who plays Matt Short, recently discussed with TV Line the trajectory of his career. He explained how surreal it has been to work on "Life in Pieces," especially considering the big ticket stars he gets to act with.
"When you live at home with your parents, all sorts of strange things get walked in on," he said. "Then, to get to have my parents in that situation be James Brolin and Dianne Wiest makes it even more delicious and fun to play."
The fourth episode of "Life in Pieces" titled "Prison Baby Golf Picking" is scheduled to air on Oct. 12 on CBS.
