In Apple's biggest event on June 13, the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the continuously rumored MacBook Pro 2016 could be unveiled. Here is a roundup of details regarding the much-awaited Apple laptop.

According to reports, the newest MacBook may sport a new OLED touch pad. The storage space, RAM, and graphics will also be boosted and enhanced. Users can also expect a longer battery life. The laptop could also come with an Intel Skylake CPU. It will also feature more USB Type-C ports, while ditching the backwards compatibility.

Another spec rumor is the butterfly keys that Apple has integrated to its latest MacBooks. There are also rumors suggesting a removable screen, just like the Microsoft Surface Pro. It might come up with a much thinner laptop since Asus ZenBook 3 has beaten Apple's Retina MacBook in the size department.

There are also reports that the MacBook Pro 2016 will also feature cellular connectivity. This rumor sprouted after it was found out that Apple has been granted 55 patents that include a cellular connectivity-relate.

There is a possibility that the upcoming Apple laptop can support virtual reality (VR), which is pointed out to be the reason of the device's delayed launching. Recently, the tech giant reportedly acquired Flyby Media, which is known for its augmented reality technology. It is the same team that helmed the 3D positioning software for Google's Project Tango.

In January, it was also reported that the Cupertino-based company has hired the noted Computer Science Professor Doug Bowman, who is known as one of the world's best VR experts.

Despite its previous statement that it won't be focusing so much on VR since the technology has not yet ripened, there are reports saying that Apple is indeed investing a lot in VR. So, they hired the best researchers and engineers to come up with something great.

WWDC 2016 will run from June 13 to 17. Aside from iOS updates and the MacBook Pro 2016, it will highly likely make some major announcements on the MacBook Air as well.
