'Madam Secretary' season 3 spoilers: Attack on the McCords part of the plan to stop Elizabeth from becoming VP

New details have been revealed about the family emergency the McCords are set to face in the upcoming season of "Madam Secretary."
As per the official synopsis released by CBS, there is going to be a breach concerning the family's security when Jason's (Evan Roe) computer is hacked. This will alarm Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) and Henry (Tim Daly), as they worry about the safety of not only Jason, but their other two kids. It is entirely possible that the person behind this attack is someone who does not want Elizabeth to run for vice president in the elections. Could he be a political enemy of the Dalton administration?
The POTUS asked Elizabeth to his running mate last installment, knowing she would do a good job in the higher office. She told him though that she needed time to think about it. The attempt to hack Jason's computer may be the first of many to stop Elizabeth from accepting the challenge. If she agrees to become a candidate, there is a good chance she is going to win. She may just decide to turn down President Dalton's (Keith Carradine) offer to prevent her family from experiencing more hurdles. On the other hand, Elizabeth is a fighter and it is likely she will take the attack as a declaration of war.
The promo for the new season is short but powerful. In the clip, Elizabeth and Dalton are talking. She is telling him that they are going to create history. Could she be pertaining to a Dalton-McCord lineup for the presidential elections? Elizabeth's voice rings with full conviction as she speaks. It is probable that she has finally agreed to become Dalton's running mate. Can fans look forward to seeing her working in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building?
"Madam Secretary" season 3 will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 2 at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
