'Marco Polo' season 3 air date, news, spoilers: Hundred Eyes to be the star of the new installment?

Netflix continues to raise anticipation for "Marco Polo" season 3 as the streaming giant remains quiet on the show's return. However, new bits of evidence that a third season is on the way can be derived from social media.
In a post last week on the historical drama's official Twitter page, a GIF image of Hundred Eyes (Tom Wu) is seen where he uses the palm of his hand and his foot to take down attackers. While the image itself is a wonder, the caption is more interesting: "Who's next?"

It is unclear what the photo is trying to say but the show has been retweeting fan posts where the said fans are asking for season 3 to arrive soon. Some viewers are also requesting for Netflix to bring in more seasons for the series.
Hundred Eyes is undeniably one of the most interesting characters in the drama. Not only is he a mystery but he is also a well-loved character. It can be safe to say that there are times Wu's character is even more popular than Benedict Wong's Kublai Khan, not only because of his immense expertise in martial arts but also mainly because of his story.
Despite harboring anger for the Mongol leader for blinding him, Hundred Eyes has become a great source of Kublai Khan's strength. He is considered in history as one of the Khan's most trusted people during his reign. Will viewers see more of the mysterious but greatly skilled warrior?
If Hundred Eyes becomes the star of "Marco Polo" season 3 instead of Kublai Khan or Lorenzo Richelmy's Marco, a lot of fans will surely be drawn more to the series, especially since many are looking forward to the development of Hundred Eyes and Lotus' (Michelle Yeoh) storyline.
Meanwhile, it is speculated that fans will see less of Wong if the show is renewed for another season. It is possible that Kublai Khan will have less airtime since it is said that Wong will have a very hectic schedule in the upcoming months.
Netflix has yet to give a green light to "Marco Polo" season 3 but it is expected that new episodes will start airing sometime mid-2017.
