Even with leaked photos photos popping up around the web, Meizu is still determined to keep their flagship smartphone, the Meizu MX5 Pro, under wraps as best as they can before its release.

According to IB times, the company has been trying to gain some momentum around the Internet for the upcoming release this week. And the new smartphone is helping, with the alleged leaked photo going up on Weibo. The new Meizu MX5 Pro shows a full metal body, with a new UI display, speculated to be the new Flyme 5.0 Operating System.

Android Headlines has reported that the leaked photo could've been released by the company itself. It has been reported that Li Nan, Vice President of Meizu, has a way with leaking upcoming devices days before their premiere. Nan has already confirmed that the device has a solid battery life, with screenshots of the phone running for at least 16 hours.

IB Times reports that the new Meizu MX5 Pro is speculated to have either a 5.5-inch display or 5.7-inch display, along with 1080p of resolution. The new devices are speculated to be powered by the Samsung Exynos 7430 or MediaTek Helio X20 chipset.

The new Meizu MX5 Pro will also have at least 4 GB of memory. While other companies are leaning towards Qualcomm's Snapdragon line, Nan stated that the company will be veering away from the chipset due to its overheating problems.

The device is also reported to have a 21-megapixel back camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. There is still no word on how much the Meizu MX5 Pro will cost once it hits the Chinese market but reports estimate that the device will not be over $500.

Meizu has yet to confirm any specifications of their upcoming new device. The Meizu MX5 Pro is expected to be announced on Sept. 23.
