'Metal Gear Solid 6': Is voice actor David Hayter back as Snake?

Fans of "Metal Gear Solid 6" went agog over voice actor David Hayter's tweet about being "back in the booth," fueling rumors that he is part once again of "Metal Gear."

Hayter is famous for being the voice behind Snake in most of the "Metal Gear" installments. However, he was not included in "Metal Gear 5: Phantom Pain," which caused disappointment among the fans.

The tweet included a series of dialogues between Snake and Colonel Campbell, another iconic character in "Metal Gear." One of the tweet reads, "Colonel, What's the meaning of this? Why am I back in the booth?" along with the hashtag #SnakeMystery @4pauleiding.

Paul Eiding is, of course, the voice behind Campbell, who is Snake's superior in the game.

However, the excitement soon died down when a report on VGN247 confirmed that it was just a dare issued by Eiding to Hayter to support the Antaeus Theater Company, which was starting a Kickstarter campaign for their new place. Other actors who showed support for the theater company included Patrick Stewart and Linda Park.

There are rumors, however, that Hayter might be cooking something aside from the Kickstarter campaign.

Gamepur says that if one tries to analyze the tweets, there seems to be a hidden message behind those tweets. "Metal Gear" fans say that the message they got was "technology hasn't been used since 1984."

The article further says that the year stated was the year of Phantom Pain, which pertains to the vocal cord virus. According to the media outlet, if rumors are true, they confirm two things despite what Eiding said about Hayter just helping out with the Kickstarter campaign.

One is that Hayter is really back in the "Metal Gear" franchise; and two, the "Lingua Franca concept" will once again be used in the upcoming series of the game.

These are rumors and speculations for now. Fans should wait for official announcements to find out if Hayter is truly back in "Metal Gear" or not.
