Microsoft Surface Book 2, which is expected to refresh the first hybrid tablet-laptop Surface Book and arrive with new features, is now tipped for a 2017 release.

As the anticipation heightens, speculations and rumors have been surfacing on the Internet regarding the possible features and specifications that the upcoming laptop will arrive with. Among the rumors, it is said that the Surface Book 2 will house Microsoft's latest processor, the Kaby Lake. This processor is said to boost the performance of any device across the board. There is a high possibility that Microsoft will also implement this processor in its upcoming smartphones, laptops, and perhaps in its next Xbox console.

Furthermore, the Surface Book 2 may arrive with a different design with the "Dynamic Fulcrum Hinge." For those who are unfamiliar, this design is seen on the Surface Book that allows the user to change the orientation of the device. While this feature sounds promising, users complain that when they connect it to the keyboard and close it like a regular laptop, a gap between the keyboard and the tablet is formed. This is a minor design change on Microsoft's part that it can choose to improve upon and make the upcoming laptop more appealing and convenient.

Finally, as the Surface Book 2 is said to arrive with new features and increased performance, it is expected to come with more power. Long battery life is perhaps one of the very important features for gadget enthusiasts. Moreover, it is said that for the Surface Book 2 to stand out, it should arrive with VR capability. This means the device has to add more ports into the current configuration.

More Microsoft Surface Book 2 and other Microsoft-related product news and updates should arrive soon.
