Microsoft Surface Pro 4 vs iPad Pro: Could Windows 10 put Microsoft's laplet ahead of competition?

Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 has been speculated to arrive for months now, but so far there has been no concrete information about its release date or specifications. However, recent reports have claimed that Apple will be launching a new iPad, dubbed iPad Pro, which would rival the Surface Pro 4.

So how does the upcoming Surface Pro 4 compare with the yet-to-be-launched iPad Pro?

There isn't a lot of information that can be found online about the iPad Pro and in fact, its very existence still remains uncertain. However, reports claim that the new tablet measuring 12.9 inches will have a better interface with a larger keyboard and run a different variant of iOS that can support a digital pen.

On the other hand, according to a recent update from LatinoPost, the highly anticipated laptop/tablet hybrid Surface Pro 4 will come in two different sizes – 12-inch and 14-inch screen display. The device will have a 3.5 MP front camera and an 8MP rear camera, a Type-C USB port, and a digital screen with capabilities for pen input.

While Apple's iPad Pro definitely has its strong points, what puts the Surface Pro 4 ahead of the competition is the possibility of the device becoming the first to be released with Microsoft's newest operating system, Windows 10.

The full version of Windows 10 is confirmed to be unveiled by the tailend of July, and it is highly possible that Microsoft's new operating system and the Surface Pro 4 will be launched simultaneously, though this is not yet confirmed.
