Minecraft Xbox One, PS4 news: Screenshots of increased draw distance released newly

4J Studios has provided an update on the Minecraft Xbox One, and PS4 version. The developer, which is responsible for creating the Minecraft games for consoles, released screenshots of the enhanced draw distances in Minecraft's next-generation versions.
The screenshots reveal that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are very similar, though both have enhanced draw distances compared to the already released PS3 and Xbox 360 versions.
According to reports, 4J Studios's main goal with the screenshots is for players to see the increased draw distance they are working on. In past reports, the developer has talked about limitations in save size as the reason why the new versions will not have infinite worlds.
Showing off the improved draw distance is encouraging, as it implies the developer is testing out a world size that is 36 times larger than the area in the worlds' of the current Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. Though not as large as gamers would hope, it still is a good area to work with, 4J Studios added.
Minecraft versions for both the PS4 and Xbox One will allow save files from the PS3 and 360 to be imported to the new consoles.
Currently, there are no release dates given for the Minecraft Xbox One and PS4 version. It is rumored that the Xbox One version is almost done, while the PS4 can be expected no later than September this year along with the Vita version.
The Xbox One version has already been spotted for pre-order earlier this month in a listing at Walmart. The game is set to be available in December.
