Mistresses Season 3 Spoilers: Savi won't be returning but Calista is; How will Scott exit?

Everyone's favorite mistresses on TV will be back for another season this June 18, but with one exception: Savi will not be back as actress Alyssa Milano had to beg off the series when a change of location was announced.
"After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of 'Mistresses' in Vancouver, Canada, for financial reasons. It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can't relocate," Milano explained via social media. "I have two babies under four. Being a mother and wife comes first and I just cannot uproot my children and separate the family by moving away. I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best."
With Milano out, a new character will be added. Jennifer Esposito will play fashion designer Calista Raines, who is "determined to get what she wants."
Episode 1 of Season 3 is entitled "Gone Girl" and it obviously will refer to the fact that Milan's character will be leaving the series. It is expected that Milano will appear at least for this episode, to enable Savi to gracefully exit the show. Apart from this, the teaser explains that the story will take off right where the Season 2 finale ended: with bride-to-be Joss (Jes Macallan) in the arms of Harry (Brett Tucker), who happened to be her sister Savi's ex-husband. Scott (Justin Hartley) is ditched at the altar, and Savi is looking for Joss—will she find her sister and her former spouse together on the beach outside the church?
"Having confessed their true feelings, Joss and Harry are making out on the beach when Karen (Yunjin Kim) calls with bad news and Joss races to be with Scott (Justin Hartley)," according to the episode synopsis.
According to TV Guide Hartley will be returning to the series for two more episodes, so we know that his character will also be exiting the show, to give way to the exploration of Joss and Harry's romance. However, based on the synopsis, it looks that Scott might have something gruesome in store for him.
April (Rochelle Aytes), according to the synopsis will reunite with her half-brother Scotty, his mother and Uncle Marc.
Karen will visit her doctor, Alec (Ed Quinn) to receive the results of her blood test. We know from the season 2 finale that she was HIV-negative, but something will come up the will "charge her life in a very dramatic way, " according to the synopsis. Is Karen pregnant?
As to how Calista will figure into the lives of the three ladies, there are reports from TVLine that she will be stepping in as a "big sister" figure to Joss now that Savi is gone. Calista is said to have a dark, sinister side hidden, so it would be interesting how this would play out between her and Joss, and how this affects the other characters of the show.
"Mistresses" will air "Gone Girl," the Season 3 premiere episode on Thursday, June 18, at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
