'Mortal Kombat X' Predator DLC releases July 7 - those without season pass have to wait till July 14

(Official trailer)Mortal Kombat X Predator reveal

"Mortal Kombat" fans can now finally rejoice because the Predator is now part of the roster of "Mortal Kombat X," the latest installment in the franchise.

Developer of the game, NetherRealm Studios, had recently confirmed the addition of the Predator to the list of playable characters for "MK X," Game Rant reports. The official announcement came from the developer's official tweet.

Predator is one of the iconic scary humanoid-alien that was featured in many films including the 1987 movie starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Predator" and the battle of the alien race and the predators in "Aliens VS Predators" (or abbreviated as AVP).

Aside from the official announcement, the gameplay trailer for the character has also been leaked, as reported on Cinemablend. The leaked footage was first posted by StopGame.Ru on YouTube and shows the awesome combos that players can do with the newly added character.

As can be seen in the video, most of the new character's moves consist of using its laser gun mounted on its shoulder, its wristblades that can be used to stab or slice its enemies and of course, its razor sharp disc blade that can cut through almost anything like butter.

Of course, one cannot forget the famous and albeit brutal fatality moves that made "Mortal Kombat" popular.

According to Ubergizmo, the Predator DLC is set to be released on July 7, 2015, although, this launch date is only available for users who bought the Kombat Pack DLC. However, fans who do not have the season pass can still get this add-on content a week after the initial release, which is going to be on July 14, 2015.

"Mortal Kombat X" is available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles and also on the PC platform. The game was officially launched back in April 2015.
