'Mr. Robot' season 2 spoilers: Elliot tries to get along with Mr. Robot in episode 7; creator reveals sitcom sequence

(Mr. Robot / Facebook)"Mr. Robot" season 2 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on USA.

Elliot (Rami Malek) and his alter ego try to make things work out in the upcoming episode 7, titled "eps2.5h4ndshake.sme," of the second season of the American psycho thriller "Mr. Robot."

Elliot and Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) decide to try to get along with each other and make things work with their lives. Meanwhile, Elliot's notorious hacking group fsociety releases a video that would honor Uncle Sam. Darlene (Carly Chaikin), on the other hand, carries out a move that she had been longing to do.

The promo trailer for "eps2.5h4ndshake.sme" shows Elliot calling out Mr. Robot about something that he needed to know. Meanwhile, Dominique (Grace Gummer) interrogates Angela (Portia Doubleday) about her presence at a restricted floor of ECorp. Philip (Michael Cristofer) says that everyone protects their own evil agendas. Mr. Robot tries to help Elliot figure out about the memories he could no longer remember. Although Elliot seems to have gained his memories back, it may be things he wished he wouldn't have done.

Meanwhile, show creator Sam Esmail revealed on Entertainment Weekly about last episode's sitcom sequence, which is the happy place that Elliot created in his mind while he was going through withdrawal, and how it would affect the episodes that follow it.

"The notion was that we wanted Mr. Robot to actually show the good attributes of having an alter ego," Esmail said. "Here's the plus. You've seen the negative. You can't get rid of me, even if you want to. You can't control me, but here's a huge plus of having me around."

Esmail also revealed that the reason why Elliot chose to escape to a sitcom-type of world in episode "eps2.4m4ster-sl4ve.aes" is because everyone loved each other, life was way simpler, and everything you need is present. The sitcom world was inspired by the popular sitcoms that Esmail used to watch when he was younger, like "Full House" and "Family Matters."

"Mr. Robot" season 2 airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. on USA.
