'Nanatsu no Taizai' chapter 190 spoilers: Merlin returns; why the Sins were formed

(Facebook/Nanatsu.No.Taizai.TV)Merlin will reportedly return in chapter 190.

In a surprise development, Melodias returned from the dead. But that's nothing compared to the shocking return of Merlin. How will this affect the Sins' fight against the Ten Commandments?

The battle between the Seven Deadly Sins and the Ten Commandments continues to rage on in "Nanatsu no Taizai," with both sides doing their hardest to prevail.

The previous episode saw Melodias' surprise return. Having been given up for dead, the warrior appeared in time to save Elizabeth and Zaratras from Derriere. While the Demon tried to recover, Melodias told Monspiet to call forth his demons so she can build up her primary attack. Monspiet obliged her and Melodias was able to knock out Hawk's formidable mother. Monspiet also unleashed his own attack which, coupled with Melodias full powered counter attack, was enough to pulverize their enemies.

The episode also revealed that the Goddess and the Demon clans had a long history and that Merlin establishing the Sins teases her own power and her reasons for wanting to get away from the demons.

Things are expected to become even more intense in chapter 190, which teases that one of Britannia's strongest mages will emerge and that another one of the strongest Sins will also be appearing. According to reports, the chapter might see Fraudrin attacking everyone in the castle. The mage begins changing people into demons, among them Jericho and Guila's younger sibling, Zeal. Unfortunately for the humans, they are trapped so they will either be turned into demons or resist and die because of Graylord's orders.

Despite this, Ban does his best to rescue them, while Gilfrost teleports Gilthunder and Gustav tries to stop the humans from turning by freezing the eggs. But just as all hope seems lost, Merlin will reportedly appear in one unforgettable entrance. Her emergence is undoubtedly surprising, as fans last saw her petrified by Galan's decree.

Aside from Merlin's return, fans can expect to learn more about why the Seven Deadly Sins were formed.
