'Narcos' season 3: Two new actors cast for upcoming season

As promised, the second season of "Narcos" showed the death of notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura). With the death of the lead character in the first two seasons of "Narcos," it is not surprising that fans have been waiting for casting news about the upcoming third season.
There have already been a few casting news regarding "Narcos" season 3.
Deadline has reported that Nicholas Gonzales has been tapped to have a recurring role in "Narcos" season 3 playing DEA agent Lopez.
Another actor who has bagged a recurring role in the series is Curtiss Cook, though details regarding his character were not revealed.
Last month, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Pedro Pascal has been confirmed to be returning to the series to reprise his role as DEA agent Javier Pena.
Joining Pascal are two newcomers, Michael Stahl-David and Matt Whelan as series regulars, who will play DEA agent Chris Feistl and his partner Daniel Van Ness, respectively.
It is still not confirmed if fans would see Pena's partner, Steve Murphy (Boyd Holbrook), in the third season.
The production for the third season of "Narcos" is already well under way, so it is surprising that Holbrook's return has not yet been confirmed for the upcoming season.
With the death of Escobar and the fall of the Medellin Cartel shown in the second season of "Narcos," there have been a lot of speculations as to what the third season of the series will show.
The finale also showed Pena being asked for intel regarding the Cali Cartel, and the teaser trailer that was released last September has also showed that the new season will be tackling the infamous drug association.
There is still no release date scheduled for the third season of "Narcos," but it is expected to be released around late August or early September of 2017, around the same time that the first two seasons started streaming on Netflix.
