"NBA 2K17" players may have noticed that the game's rosters haven't been updated yet even though the 2016-17 NBA season has already started and that is apparently due to a particular issue.

Over on Twitter, the game's developers recently shared that an issue currently affecting the game is preventing the implementation of roster updates.

Accurate team rosters are obviously sought after by those playing "NBA 2K17."

A big part of the game's appeal is how accurately it recreates the actual NBA, and having up-to-date rosters is necessary for that. The good news here is that a patch fixing the roster bug is coming soon, according to the developers.

Even though the season is just a few days old, there are already numerous roster tweaks that developers can apply ranging from simple roster reconfigurations to changing player ratings.

For instance, even if Russell Westbrook's overall mark of 93 is already among the highest in the game, it now seems somewhat low given how he has gotten off to such a great start this season. It would hardly be surprising if Westbrook gets a boost once a new roster update is applied and he may even challenge current top-rater LeBron James for the number one ranking before the season is over.

Houston Rockets guard James Harden may also be due for a ratings bump. Harden has excelled while taking on the lead guard role in Mike D'Antoni's offense and all those stellar numbers should contribute to him getting a higher rating sooner rather than later.

New Orleans Pelicans franchise player Anthony Davis – another of the young season's standout performers – is also seemingly due for a bit of a boost in the wake of putting up incredible numbers in his team's first batch of games.

Beyond the roster fix, the upcoming patch is also expected to address issues with the game's Pro-Am mode.

More news about the upcoming "NBA 2K17" patch should be made available very soon.
