After the Thanksgiving break, "NCIS: Los Angeles" will be back with a new episode. Will everybody finally discover what Detective Marty Deeks is hiding? What does actor Eric Christian Olsen have to say about his character's arrest? 

Special Agent Kensi Blye (Daniel Ruah) was stumped during the last few minutes of last week's "NCIS: Los Angeles" episode. Titled "Defectors," the episode saw Detective Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) being handcuffed by the LAPD and charged with murder. What does that mean? A "resurrection of darkness," said Olsen.

In an interview with E! Online, the actor talked about how people have a darkness within them that they don't want to share with their loved ones. That's the case, he added, with Deeks and the secret behind last Monday's arrest. 

"Kensi is the person he has the best and most successful relationship he's ever had in his life, but yet there's something in his past that is so bad that he's afraid to admit it to her and I think also to himself. He just hoped it would go away and obviously this is the resurrection of this darkness," said the 38-year old actor. 

Of course, things couldn't be easy on Deeks' partner/ girlfriend Kensi. One simply does not fall into a relationship with someone and not be surprised upon knowing of a deep, dark secret — even if it is from their past. Actress Ruah said her character doesn't believe Deeks is capable of murder. She added that being his teammate and lover pushes her to stay by his side no matter what. 

Asked how the arrest affects the Deeks-Kensi relationship, Ruah answered, "She wants him to talk to her and I don't think she ever feels like he's giving her a clear answer, which is really, really frustrating. It's definitely really tough for her to deal with. I think she knows there's more to the story than what he's saying, and he's not opening up to her."
